Day Retreat for Women

With the onset of blue skies and balmy days, it’s the perfect time to show yourself some loving kindness.  This one day retreat will include:

  • Gentle Yoga, including Restorative poses

  • Walking meditation in the garden (weather permitting 🙂

  • Yoga Nidra: Deep Relaxation

  • Breathing Explorations 

  • Sound healing relaxation with Tibetan singing bowls

  • Handout: quick and easy ways to self care

  • Yummy organic vegetarian / vegan, gluten-free lunch in the garden

Hatha Yoga

Wednesdays, 9.30-10.45am

Classical hatha yoga postures strengthen, tone and stretch the whole body leaving you feeling energised and relaxed. You will be encouraged to listen to your body and move in accordance with your capacity and energy level on any given day. Through mindful movement we develop body awareness and we come to accept our bodies as they are. This approach is therefore suitable for everyone, from beginners to experienced students.

Mindful Yoga

Thursdays, 7.00-8.15pm

Develop the skill of mindfulness with this gentle practice.  This class will suit you if you enjoy slow yoga or if you are new to yoga.  You will be instructed in the basics of hatha yoga, postures, breathing and relaxation with an emphasis on non-striving.  The skill of interoception, sensing subtle sensations in the body, is developed through body scanning, breath awareness and slow, fluid movement. In this class, we share the best practices for calming the nervous system and optimizing brain function according to cutting-edge neuroscience.

Prenatal Yoga

Yoga is a wonderful support at this exciting, sometimes challenging, time of change. Regular practice increases strength and stamina and gives you the confidence to move through your pregnancy with ease and grace. 

Gentle movement, relaxation and breath work will help you develop the skills necessary to cope with the demands of labour and motherhood.  Prenatal yoga is currently offered on Tuesdays from 7.00-8.15pm.
